Review

Braid is a platform game that is keen on manipulating time. Braid is one of those games that people will always remember because it added a new factor to the genre. In Braid you control a little fellow who has to reunite himself with his beloved princess. To do so he should overcome lots and lots of obstacles, but he has an ability that will help him with that. He can control time in certain ways. During the game and its many chapters, you will have to go through levels finding keys to open doors, which will hold puzzle parts. Solving a puzzle will allow you to pass into the next level. The graphics are cartoon-like, and it even seems as if the game had been drawn by hand. It is a splendid view. The music accompanies you along the game, and it really sets the mood. The most complicated levels have songs that express the drama that is going on. Controlling time is not an easy deed. To be able to complete levels you will have to calculate what each of your enemies' direction of movement is in real-time and what it is when you are going back in time. So, moving certain pieces you can attain certain results that you couldn't achieve otherwise. This game was first released on Xbox Live for the 360, and it is one of the most popular games there. Now, the PC users can enjoy one of the most challenging games of the year.
